Braithwaite is a pretty Lakeland village in the North Lakes tucked between Grisedale Pike and Skiddaw where the unspoilt Newlands Dale joins the Valley of Derwent.
The cottage stands in a row of old stone cottages dating back to the 19th century at the side of Coledale Beck.
Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwent are within 5 minutes and the Valleys of Borrowdale, Buttermere and the Whinlatter Forest are close by.
The village store carries a range of grocery products, newspapers and off licence goods. The Coledale, The Middle Ruddings and The Royal Oak pubs (all in the village and within walking distance) serve excellent food and children are welcome. |
